Robert
Robert Mowbray is one of the longest standing and most widely known trainers of professionals having worked in and with law, accounting and other professional organisations for over 25 years. He is renowned as a trainer in things “financial” and has considerable experience of helping lawyers to read financial statements and in helping professional firms to increase profitability through more efficient and effective working practices. Robert was the author of “Maximising the Profitability of Law Firms” and has trained or consulted with over 400 firms in over 20 countries. He has been voted Trainer of the Year by the Legal Education & Training Group and is the current author of the annual financial benchmarking survey organised by the Law Management Section of the Law Society. The unique experience that Robert has gained puts him in a position to independently and authoritatively help professional firms to develop their people and their business.
Janet
Janet Taylor has worked with Robert Mowbray for many years and is widely regarded as one of the finest trainers of the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules. She has trained and provided consultancy support to both fee earners and accounts staff in law firms while also training accountants who have responsibility for reporting to the SRA on whether solicitors have complied with the rules. Janet has also spent time in the Technical Department of a top 20 accounting firm and has an excellent technical knowledge of accounting rules and has the ability to make these potentially complex rules comprehensible to lawyers in all practice areas. Janet is a committee member of The Solicitors Special Interest Group of the ICAEW and was co-author, together with Robert Mowbray of “Solicitors: An Industry Accounting and Auditing Guide”
